Country Court Yard Area
A grade 2 listed building with a standard tarmac drive was a great project for us. Because the transformation has been so extreme, this makes this courtyard one of our more rewarding jobs to construct. Because the original area had cobbles before the tarmac, our brief was to bring the area back to life and create a lovely country court yard area, which is a usable space, with parking at the top of the garden.

A Small Garden Space
The client brief was to have a low maintenance garden with a good sociable outdoor space. Because the garden space was limited, we decided to design the garden based on a 45 degree angle which therefore maximised the useable lawn area. The garden also has a range of hard landscape materials including sandstone paving, brick retaining walls, a block paving driveway and raised timber sleeper beds.

A Driveway Extension
The client had a small drive which needed to be extended. Along with this, we provided a seating area below which previously was overgrown. They can now appreciate their amazing view. Lighting has been installed in the new wall that retains the driveway therefore making this space useable in the evenings.

Sociable Garden Space
The client brief was to have and outdoor sociable space with a low maintenance planting to give it an attractive feel. Retention was a big aspect in this garden in order to make full use of the space. As a result the garden has a range of hard landscape materials including Indian sandstone paving, brick retaining walls, a block paving driveway and raised timber sleeper beds. Low voltage garden lighting was also included within this scheme.
