We decided to commission CC Garden Design to take on our driveway project to create a new hard landscape design, after seeing first-hand the workmanship that this company had done for friends of ours living close by. We thought that their design and work were of a very high standard and knew the company to be trustworthy and that they would carry out the project as agreed, completing it within a reasonable timeframe. We were not disappointed! Chris took on the challenge of transforming our driveway and front garden with enthusiasm. Throughout the duration of the project he demonstrated ably his willingness to listen to our ideas, offered his expertise and guidance and sourced appropriate materials, the end result of which is a fabulous new frontage to our Victorian house. CC Garden Design and Construction Ltd. carried out a five week project for us, which involved the removal of a large amount of earth, and the provision of retaining walls, new paving, fencing and gates, and a base for a greenhouse. The work was carried out to a high standard and on schedule, and using equipment appropriate to the task. Chris is very pleasant and customer-focused and it is a pleasure to deal with him. Before providing a very detailed quotation for the work, he had provided some ball-park figures, which were also very detailed. He readily understands the desires of the customer, and is happy to make suggestions. He also has a very good memory and the ability to recall details of what has been said “in passing”. The team worked very hard and are also very approachable and pleasant, always cleaning up thoroughly at the end of the day’s work. CC Garden Design has now completed 3 projects for us – all to our total satisfaction. The first earlier in 2014 involved constructing a concrete base for a new summerhouse. The second was the rebuild of a wooden decking area because the previous decking had rotted. Chris had recommended a wood plastic composite decking and we are extremely pleased and it will be a lot less slippy than the previous one and has a significantly longer life. The third project was the re-design of a large shrub bed with the removal of old plants and relocating retained ones. Christopher and his team took on the design and construction of a new driveway and terrace back in April. Friendly and flexible, they tackled a daunting task that included removing several large tree stumps, moving established shrubs, (all of which survived) from a difficult multi level site. The design changed on a daily basis but nothing was too much trouble and solutions to the many problems were always found. The team worked around the electrician and other workmen without trauma with a minimum of fuss. On completion the driveway has been transformed, the terrace is outstanding, all done with the minimum of disruption and the maximum efficiency.
